What gets checked before anything is quoted
A warm fridge with a cold freezer is nearly always air, not gas: an evaporator fan iced in, a blocked drain, a defrost heater that gave up. A unit that never stops running in a Valley summer is usually a condenser matted with dust or a seized condenser fan. Sealed-system work is a real possibility but it is the last thing to conclude, not the first.

Nothing is dismantled and no part is ordered until you have agreed that figure, and the $89 you paid for the visit comes off it in full the moment you approve the work.
